About The Shine Gala

The Shine Gala is Kentucky’s first-of-its-kind Pride celebration — an extraordinary event debuting in 2025 at the iconic Speed Art Museum. Created to inspire, uplift, and unite, the Gala blends high-impact fundraising with community partnership to support LGBTQIA+ voices and initiatives across the region.

Marking 25 years of progress and advocacy, the Shine Gala stands as the premier LGBTQ+ event in Kentucky. This unforgettable evening will celebrate identity, creativity, and impact — all within an atmosphere of refined elegance and purpose. Join us in honoring the past, elevating the present, and lighting the way forward.

The gala will consist of entertainment, food and beverage, programming, an award, an auction, educational experiences and immersive activations.

The Shine Gala uniquely positions the organization to create an endowment fund that will honor the past, elevate the present, and light the way forward by offering financial sustainability for the LGBTQIA+ community and its diversity. This endowment will help to continue offering services across the Kentuckiana region by investing back into our community organizations. Partnering organizations from Southern Indiana, Louisville Metro, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be eligible to receive endowment funding to support their individual missions.

The Shine Gala is open to any individual 18 years of age or older.
